Look For Sims For Fantastic Tariffs

September 8th, 2010

Sim cards are Free and incredibly popular with mobile phone users. One of the biggest advantages is that they give a fast and simple transition from contracts that cost the customer on a regular basis. Pay as you go sim cards are the most flexible choice for users in payment terms, as there is no expectation at all to top up every month. We’ll examine the options on offer:

Voda Free Sims

Vodafone provide simply the most straightforward pay as you talk deal available across the country, very suitably titled Vodafone Simply.

Vodafone Simply is quite simply (excuse the pun!) a fixed price free sim opportunity for any mobile phone customer. The main concept is flat rate phone calls, so it doesn’t matter whether you call in the day, evening, night or weekend. This is coupled with flat price texting.

Not only that, you can bolt on extras, such as Voda Text Unlimited, simply by adding credit each month above a threshold. There are also overseas calls at low rates, and free weekend call possibilities when calls are made in the week.

For more details on the Vodafone pre-pay propostition, see Vodafone sims.

T-Mobile Free Sim Cards

T-Mobile, like Vodafone, offer a one-off package for all mobile usage patterns:

tmobile Pay As You Go gives a tiered call tariff, meaning you pay less when you have used your mobile for a few of minutes each day. This is a fantastic option for customers requiring more calltime for less on a prepay tariff.

Texting and answerphone are set cost per minute/message, as is picture messaging. T Mobile also offer web access options on Pay As You Talk, which is something the other companies do not so keenly promote.

Orange Free Sims

Orange provide four key packages to their pay as you go offering – Dolphin, Canary, Racoon and Camel.

Dolphin is targeted at textaholics – with bonus texts available.

Canary is ideal for off peak phone calls (evenings and weekends).

Racoon is the deal for off and on peak (all day) calls.

Camel provides competitive international call and text rates.

o2 Free Sim Cards

o2, like Orange, offer multiple choices depending on your mobile usage patterns:

Favourite Place gives bonus call minutes from a specific place, for example where you live.

Talkalotmore is designed for evening and weekend callers.

Text Anytime as the name suggests is ideal for sending sms messages.

o2 Unlimited at the time of press is the flagship option, with unlimited calls and messages to other o2 mobiles.

Your Country is the final tariff, perfect for calling abroad.

It’s also worth considering sim only packages if you are a regular phone user. Although it does still technically mean signing up for a contract, they can usually be ended after thirty days, and a month can cost as little as ten pounds. In other words, if you top up by a tenner or more a month this is probably the right option for you. All the major networks now offer packages of this nature, and there’s plenty of help available on the internet.
