They do not care who they target so watch out where you flash your expensive phone around. The people that commit these kind of crimes do not target specific people like the older generations and women but target anyone with a fairly decent phone. They do this because they are often drug addicts and when you have gone without something you are addicted to you can become very desperate indeed.

A lot of these criminals are very desperate which is why they seem to attack and take the phone. The amount of people being killed for their phones has fallen but they are still there. It mostly happens when people try to resist the mugging. The best piece of advice is to let them take it, then call up the phone company to get the phone blocked.
Protect The Phone
Smart phones like the iPhone can be password protected so that even if the phone is stolen there is no way at all they can get into it. It is crucial that you do this as often things like bank details and personal information are all stored within the phone itself.
So although a criminal will not be interested in fax to email or premium rate phone numbers they could be after your mobile phone so just watch yourself.
